Accomodations for Gender Diverse Students in Nevada's Schools

In 2017, The Nevada State Legislature passed SB225, a new law that provides rights, privileges, and protections for gender diverse students in Nevada schools. The Nevada Department of Education will vote on the new policy on March 30th. At this point in the process, it's not IF this new policy will be implemented in our kids' schools, but WHEN. Still, there are some things you should know. Every student is entitled to dignity, privacy, and respect. The problem is, this policy does not accomplish that. In fact, this regulation infringes upon students' right to free speech, as well as their right to privacy. It violates parental rights. It eliminates competitive fairness and equal opportunity in school sports. It raises troubling religious liberty issues, and micro-manages Nevada's diverse student populations with mandatory, one-size-fits-all state oversight. A Prayer

Standing on the "wrong" side of the culture is not easy. Sometimes I would rather go to my bed and pull the covers over my head than get into another facebook discussion about transgenderism, sexual morality, religion in schools, or abortion. But here we are, friends. This is the time and place in which we live. There are ideas worth defending to the death. There are hills worth dying on. I throw myself at the feet of God who is holy and all-knowing. Because I can't go into this fight for the truth with love without Him providing it. It's not my fight. It's His. It's not my love.
